The Hairy Bikers

 This week saw the publication in the UK of the final cookbook that Dave Myers was writing along with Si King before the sad passing of Dave in February 2024.

I have loved the Hairy Bikers from their first TV series around 20 years ago, and have had the pleasure of seeing them three times. Two times when they did tours and the last time in June 2023 at the summer Good Food Show in Birmingham. 

It was very clear then that Dave was very poorly and his treatment for cancer had had such an effect on him, but he was his usual jovial self,always with a smile. I will always treasure seeing them both. 

My collection of HB cookbooks have grown over the years and I’ve got around of 20 them. I believe they did 30.  My task is to try and find all the remaining books I haven’t got in local charity shops.  

My aspirations for the coming months and in honour of Dave is to try and cook at least a couple of their recipes every month and to show on this humble blog.

Dear friend 

So I majorly failed with The Cookbook Nerd Blog.  

I set it up nearly two years ago and then I Completely forget to provide any content 

But I need to return to that part of me that wants to share a small aspect of my mundane life to the universe.
